About Woven
Most women can remember a time in their lives when community came easily.
Maybe it was living with friends or roommates — sharing meals, late-night conversations, and the everyday rhythms of life side by side. In those years, connection often felt built in. Support systems existed without much effort, and many friendships were shaped by proximity as much as intention.
If you’re lucky enough to have long-lasting friendships with other women, you’ve probably joked — or maybe said quite seriously — When we’re older, let’s all live together.
And yet, as life unfolds, those kinds of living arrangements become harder to hold onto. Careers, caregiving, relationships, geography, and finances pull people in different directions. The forms of community that exist for younger women are rarely designed to carry us forward into later chapters of life.
For some women, there is already a trusted circle and a shared dream of aging together. For others, that sense of community feels harder to find. Many women discover that forming deep, authentic connections later in life can be unexpectedly difficult — even while the desire for belonging, safety, and mutual support grows stronger.
Woven exists to support all of these realities.
Woven was created from a simple but powerful idea: that community shouldn’t be something we leave behind as we age. It should be something we are able to return to — intentionally, thoughtfully, and on our own terms.
We believe women deserve places where independence and connection coexist. Where privacy is respected and support is nearby. Where relationships can deepen over time and no one has to navigate life’s later chapters alone.
This is not about recreating the past. It’s about honoring what worked, acknowledging what has been lost, and intentionally weaving something new — together.
Woven is grounded in dignity, belonging, and the belief that everyone deserves safe, supportive community.
